Barriers and Facilitators to Female Death Registration in Honiara and Malaita, Solomon Islands: A Cross-sectional Qualitative Study

Only 40% of Solomon Islands death registration is complete. This affects the ability to monitor changes in death and understand gender disparities in notification and registration. This research study focused on understanding barriers and facilitators to female death registration in Honiara (administrative capital) and Malaita (province) through 20 in-depth interviews, 8 key informant interviews and 4 focus group discussions.
