Best practice guidelines for digital CRVS systems: Draft for consultation
CRVS systems are increasingly implementing information technology (IT) to support data management processes. In many countries, civil registration officials are involved in making decisions about the type of IT system needed to support CRVS operations. Unfortunately, in some countries, these decisions have resulted in inappropriate vendor contracts and/or led to unfavourable outcomes, such as the acquisition of an IT solution that is not fit-for-purpose or that does not align to the needs of the country. This document aims to provide civil registration officials and other national stakeholders that may be involved in decision making around CRVS IT systems with general guidance on requirements for consideration
