Technical guidance for strengthening the vital statistics production process

Vital statistics is one of the key outputs of a civil registration system and has been an important focus of CRVS system strengthening initiatives. The CRVS Systems Improvement Framework provides a step-by-step guide for the assessment of the current status of a CRVS system in a country and the development of a strategic action plan for strengthening that CRVS system. An important aspect of the framework is to either establish or improve an existing system for vital statistics production and dissemination.
