Medical certification of cause of death (MCCOD): Rapid assessment tool and user guide

The medical certification of cause of death (MCCOD) rapid assessment tool can be used by a doctor who is trained in death certification practices and who understands the ICD-10 death certification rules. Information generated from the assessment is useful for ministry of health staff, hospital administrators, health information officers or medical records officers to determine the quality of death certificates. The user guide provides instruction on how to use the MCCOD rapid assessment tool.
