Sri Lanka: Strengthening the quality and availability of mortality statistics

This CRVS country report outlines the strategy for improving the quality and availability of mortality statistics in Sri Lanka, which is built on two main pillars: improving the quality of medical certification of cause of death for facility deaths; and implementing automated verbal autopsy to ascertain probable cause of death for community deaths.
